Special Delivery!

So...this past week was FILLED with Special Deliveries! I thought it was quite appropriate to include all of them together so we can remember all of the excitement this week has brought to us! It has been one crazy and fun week! 

Special Delivery # 1

Our Sweet Baby Kiss' glider rocker came in...and man is it comfortable...I could sit in it all day long...it's like sitting on a cloud! My sweet, strong husband carried it in and up the stairs all by HIMSELF!

Special Delivery # 2

Later that week...our furniture came in....well everything except the crib, which should be in the first week in March (crossing my fingers in time for our Baby Shower)! Jeff and my brother picked it all up and set it all up. Then Jeff and his mom did some rearranging, and here is what we have so far...it looks a little bulky and crowded...but when you are in the room it feels just PERFECT! I am in LOVE! I can't wait to see it with the bedding and crib! It's all coming together little by little!

Special Delivery # 3

Chet and Katie came by full of fun and gifts that they have been collecting for our Sweet Baby Kiss! They are truly the sweetest Aunt and Uncle and already love Lil' Miss Kiss so very much because they are always thinking about her! ;)

Here are their special picks...Chet's special pick was the adorable little dress (which Jeff is equally as in love with), and Katie's were the tiny Sperry shoes! Then, of course they have their sweet little Aunt and Uncle onesies! What an amazing and loving Aunt and Uncle they will both be!

Special Delivery # 3

Mid week, I went in for my glucose test and another sonogram to measure Lil' Miss Kiss! Great news came in from all aspects! I finished my wonderful 'sugar juice' in a minute flat...Jeff said it couldn't be done by me since I am a terribly slow drinker! Well, I did! I also had my blood drawn and didn't even get weak this time or white faced! Yay! Now whether that was a result of my elevated blood sugar or the fact that I was talking about Lil' Miss Kiss' nursery to the nurse while she was taking my blood, or the fact that I have just gotten better at it (I don't think that's the case)...I will never know! :) But I sure was proud! The next day I got the news that I am free and clear of gestational diabetes! Yay! 

 Our most exciting special delivery came when Dr. Snead captured the most amazing image of our sweet baby girl! He thought it was so incredible, he transformed it into 3D viewing for us...so we got our very own 3D image of our Lil' Miss Kiss! We are truly in love!

We also got the news from the doctor that now our sweet little kiss is measuring in the 12th percentile! She has grown so much...last time she was in the 7th...so we are so happy that she is above the 10th percentile now! Yay...keep on growing Lil' Miss Kiss! 

Special Delivery # 4

After staying up until 12:45am on Friday night (literally 100% exhausted) while working on prepping the finishing touches for Chet and Katie's Couples Shower, knowing I had to wake up at 6:30am the next morning for our 3D/4D sonogram...I came into the bathroom to see this super sweet message from my super, sweet and thoughtful husband on our "I love you because" board! If you don't have one of these...you need one for sure...it's my absolute favorite way to always remember to let the other one know the many reasons we fall more and more in love with them every day! 

Special Delivery #5

A breakfast full of our loving family ready to see Baby Kiss in real D (3D/4D ultrasound was later that morning) at Cracker Barrel...oh how I love their blueberry pancakes! It was so great getting together to enjoy the company of the ones we love in celebration of the new little one we will all love so much!

Sadness came when we found that our sweet Lil' Miss Kiss is quite the stubborn one, and decided she would rather not show her sweet little face to all who had gathered for the occasion...I guess she is a little shy. She had her back facing up and her head looking basically at my spine...there was NO way around it...her face could not be seen...even though 3 days before at our regular check up she was turned in a perfect direction! I think she takes after Mommy and is slow to get moving in the mornings! After having me turn on both sides and drinking a Starbucks Caramel Brulee Latte (half caffeine of course), in hopes that would help her get moving and groovin', there was no helping it...all we could get a glimpse of was her tiny ear and hand...eventually she pointed her little finger near her head and the boys said she was flipping us all off....but I beg to differ! So, thankfully we were considered a special case scenario and were able to reschedule free of charge (since a 3D/4D is merely for keepsake/entertainment purposes and not covered under insurance) due to her lack of cooperation! The only day we could reschedule for was Valentine's Day...but we couldn't be more excited to see our Sweet Little Valentine on the day of LOVE...I hope she's ready to give us a sneak peek this time! This will be my FIRST official Valentine's Day that I have to share my sweet Mr. Kiss!

Special Delivery # 6

After a beautiful shower that couldn't be MORE perfect...Chet and Katie gave me some beautiful flowers as a thank you, and my mom let me keep the bouquet she bought as decoration because I loved them so much. She said I could keep them just because I had worked so hard in planning and prepping for the shower! I love fresh flowers! 

Through our prepping and planning my mom was in charge of the bundtinis, punch and flowers. I couldn't have been more excited when she showed up with the bundtinis and my special punch recipe ingredients...I knew it could be nothing but a great afternoon with these 2 yummies! They made my weekend!

Special Delivery # 7

My LONG awaited Hershey Kiss hat came in! I have been planning to order this thing for over a year. I just knew when Baby Kiss was born this was a must for the newborn pics! I am in love!

Wow! What a week full of 'Special Deliveries'! It was surly a busy one but what a fun week it was! I am so thankful for all of my family and our many blessings! 

Super Bowl...XXVII Weeks

As promised...Daddy didn't disappoint. I can't tell you how EXCITED I was for him to do the board this week! It was Super Bowl XLVII and our week XXVII, so what a better week than this one to have the biggest football fan display his chalkboard talents! Away he went....upstairs hard at work...I had to go take a shower so I could give him some planning, prepping, and execution time and leave him in peace...I know I was too excited to hang around. I would more than likely watch over his shoulder and bother him...so to the shower I went! When I returned, it was with utter amazement that I gazed upon his amazing creation! I was thoroughly impressed...I knew he would do really well, after all he was a super star artist in high school (a hidden talent I rarely had the chance to see him display), but I had no idea the result would be so breathtaking! 

So, here you have it...Daddy's work of art...let's begin at the top! He's got the Super Bowl trophy and the 2 teams that played logo's so we will always remember the teams. The Super Bowl Trophy actually has an incredible amount of detail...but due to the lack of a darker colored chalk you can't see it too well...but it is totally there! Then we have the fun and creative way of writing 27 weeks in Roman Numerals...just like the Super Bowl! I never would have thought of that! Further more, you will see a Y written as a field goal and the 2 letter 'o's in football, shaped like actual footballs! Amazing! I know! I am still smiling at his incredible creation! I told him he is giving me a run for my money and should do the board every week!

Total Weight Gain/ Loss? 17 pounds

Maternity Clothes? Haha I haven't officially transitioned over, but it is looking more like it every day! For example, only 2 of my school T-shirts (we wear on Fridays and Mondays) still fit! They are a bit snug...so I am pretty sure sure we are headed to a future filled with more and more maternity shirts, but it has been fun to get some wear out of my normal clothes like the sweater above. 

Stretch Marks? Nope...still lotioning it up

Sleep: Still sleeping really well and really deeply! Haha Apparently soooo deeply that according to Jeff I snore like a freight train and being the light sleeper that I am, I can't believe I don't even wake myself up! 

Best Moment THIS Week: Having our first piece of nursery furniture come in...our glider rocker...and the rest should be in next week!!! (except for the crib). Then, after babysitting for my friend Shelli while they went to the Rodeo with their older kiddos, she came home with this for Lil' Miss Kiss...does it not scream Lil' Miss Kiss?!?!?! I am in total love and could not have picked a more fun little outfit for my little TuTu wearing baby girl! How fun is this...I couldn't stop staring at it and smiling...I didn't even want to put it away in her closet! Jeff about died when he saw it...he was in love too!

Miss Anything? Haha being able to eat Hot Wings without throwing up...Super Bowl weekend OFFICIALLY marked the 2nd time in my pregnancy that we have made our delicious hot wings and then late that night/early morning I woke up to throw them all up...I suppose Lil' Miss Kiss is not impressed with our hot wings...she says "No thank you Mommy!" That being said I think I will stay away from them until after she is born! 

Movement: Lots of movement and oh so much fun! Sometimes when I am sitting at work (for a brief moment since I am really never sitting), since she is sitting so low...it feels so strange when I feel her move! My favorite is to lay on my back and watch her and feel her movin' and a groovin' every night or even after school!
Food Cravings: Well, I was craving some Hot Wings....however, that is apparently not an option! LOL! 

Recent, Unpleasant Developments: I had a terrible calf cramp on Thursday night!!! It woke me up, wouldn't go away and made me cry! :( Also, apparently I snore EVERY night with the inhale and exhale haha...Jeff says he is going to video me so I can hear it...a while back I would wake myself up because of it every now and then...but now I sleep right through it and thought I had stopped doing it buuuut apparently not haha! 

Have you started to show yet: Oh goodness yes, I love my super cute little pregnant belly! Every day people comment on my growing belly...they have been saying things like "I am pretty sure your belly grew overnight!" and my brother seems to think I am HUGE haha and Lil' Miss Kiss will be a HUGE baby! He is convinced! Funny enough this week, I tried on the dress I ordered for Chet and Katie's wedding to see how I was 'growing' into it...haha and I was swimming in it 3 months ago...however, now, NOT the case! If the wedding was next weekend, I would need no alterations! Haha! I have a couple more inches of room, but I have 6 weeks to go and probably a LOT more growing...so I am debating whether or not and go ahead and save myself the headache and exchange it for a bigger size!

Happy, Emotional, or Moody Most of the Time: Besides my middle of the night crying over my calf cramp, and my near cry because Berkley keeps getting my clean panties out of the laundry and biting holes in them...I am super in love with Baby Kiss and the fact that we are creeping into our final trimester, getting sooooo close to meeting her!

Looking Forward to: Our 27 1/2 week appointment to see Baby Kiss, and the dreaded Glucose test, our 3D/4D ultrasound appointment on Saturday, Chet and Katie's Couple's Shower that my mom and I are hosting, and all of our Nursery Furniture making its way into Lil' Miss Kiss' room this week...becasue it came in EARLY!!! (except for the crib...crossing our fingers it will be here before my shower March 9th, so I can have it all set up! They said it is said to ship early too, but not until the end of this month.) YES! This will be a BIG week for us! Woo hoo!

My Dad's favorite team of ALL time are the 49ers and since they made it to the SUPER BOWL in the year of sweet Baby Kiss...we had to add it to the board!

For those of you that don't know...Jeff is a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan, just as my dad is a HUGE San Francisco 49ers fan. That being said...my dad pretty much despises the Dallas Cowboys, however, he  watches every game in mere hopes that they lose! So,when the Cowboys are playing...my Dad loves to kid with Jeff and give him a hard time about the Cowboys in more ways than one! So, before half time, the 49ers just really weren't looking too good. So, Jeff used it as a prime opportunity to be a little silly and give my dad a hard time! So, Dad...this one was for you from Jeff...all in fun of course! Haha...I will say though, after half time...the 49ers played their hearts out and went down fighting for the NFL title and hopefully made my dad proud!

Miss Anything? Wearing my comfy t-shirts at home and not having them be tight on my belly! 

Movement: Oh goodness! We have had lots of movement this week...more and more every day. I can really see her and feel her the best when I am peaceful and resting on my back at night or in the morning. She is supposed to be over a foot long now, so it's crazy to see movements from one side of my tummy to the other all at once! One night when Jeff was at work, I even sent him and my parents a video of her moving in my tummy...it was CRAZY, you could really see her poppin around! Sometimes when as soon as Jeff goes to feel her BIG movements, she stops moving, so we say she hides from Daddy sometimes...or he has also said "She just likes it when Daddy holds her!" ;) He was watching her big movements and said "I wanna see how strong she is....wow! She is strong!" Chet got to feel her movements this week and he said "She's practicing her high kicks in there, she's going to be a drill team dancer!" (and he hadn't even read my 23 week high kick chalkboard blog...oh great sibling minds think alike! lol)
Food Cravings: Still lovin' my Tiny Clementine Cuties annnnnnddd chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream every now and again! WONDERFUL brand ALMONDS...I have been eatin' them up this week!

Recent, Unpleasant Developments: I feel that third trimester tiredness, slowly starting to creep its way in...or maybe I am just overdoing it with all of this energy...haha! Also, having to finally break down and go shopping for a new bra...thankfully my patient mom was there to help me through the nightmare!

Have you started to show yet: My first graders keep commenting daily on how much Baby Kiss must be growing because my tummy sure is growing! They love to give me AND my tummy hugs each day!  Baby Kiss is already sooooo loved!
