Introducing Mr. Korbin Wyatt Kiss

I am sooooo late on this post! I have had the pictures ready for over a week now...but I haven't found the time to add in the little word blurbs! Our sweet nephew
 Korbin Wyatt Kiss
arrived around 9:00am on March 1, 2013! We were so thrilled to see him arrive so healthy and perfect in every way! Mommy and Daddy are both doing great too and loving their little man!
His sweet little Mr. Magoo face! (says his Daddy)
Happy and Proud Parents with their sweet little man...
Jeff's brother Jeremy and his wife Rachelle!
Later that night we headed to the hospital to meet him! I designed a flower bouquet just for him at Kroger with beautiful BLUE flowers and the perfect blue balloons!

They made us cut off the latex balloons upon entering the hospital...due to the possibility of latex allergies! :(

Officially Aunt Kristen and Uncle Jeff for the first time EVER!
What a long, lean little man!
2 Days later he was ready to go home! He looked adorable in his little hat and snazzy carseat! He needed some extra padding around that tiny little body of his but he made it home safe with Mommy and Daddy!
Upon their arrival home...we came to visit the little man again...bearing gifts!

Baby Brezza...they were super excited!

Korbin got a little fussy, so Jeff decided to act out his crying.

We are so excited for their new growing family and feel so blessed that we could be a part of it all!

5 Senses...She Has THEM!

How far along? 31 weeks
Fruit/Veggie Comparison: 4 Navel Oranges (15.2-16.7 inches)
Total Weight Gain/ Loss? 24 pounds
Maternity Clothes? Lovin' the maternity shirts I bought a couple months ago! The length is great and they are oh so comfy! I am still wearing some of my normal shirts too...those that will go over my belly and aren't too short that is!
Stretch Marks? Nope...still lotioning it up
Sleep: Sleeping really pretty well...but waking up every now and again! THE SNORING HAS LESSENED! haha...Jeff says he hasn't heard it in a while...but that might be just because he is so tired and zonked out! However, it is harder and harder to wake up every morning...I am not feeling as rested as I had before...but I have been going a million miles an hour though!
Best Moment THIS Week: Meeting Kinsley's new little cousin Korbin Wyatt Kiss! It is so fun that they are so close in age! He is absolutely adorable...like a little doll! It was so fun to finally become Uncle Jeff and Aunt Kristen this week! It only made us realize how amazing it will be to finally meet our little lady in 9 weeks or so!
Miss Anything? Being able to comfortably bend over in the shower to scrub my feet and calves without this big ol' hard belly gettin' in the way!
Movement: Her movements are bigger and less frequent...but I still feel her in there! I assume it's because she's getting bigger and there is not as much room in there!
Food Cravings: Back on my apple juice craving! FINALLY got to the store to buy me some more apple juice and clementine cuties!
Recent, Unpleasant Developments: Oh geez....the snoring is just out of control....Jeff is praying it is just a pregnancy thing!
Have you started to show yet: Oh yes! I am definitely seen as a pregnant lady in public...from the cashier at Kroger saying I should be home relaxing and taking a nap or drinking a mimosa without the champagne....to women in line for the restroom consistently offering to let me go first, the public is definitely noticing my little preggo self! It's very endearing and I love it! People are so super sweet!
Gender: Girly Girl!
Labor Signs: Not at all
Belly Button In or Out? IN, but it still keeps looking more and more strange!
Wedding Rings On or Off? ON every day....love, love, love my husband!
Happy, Emotional, or Moody Most of the Time: Oh my....feeling so so very happy and blessed in every moment of the day....I can't believe all of the happiness that surrounds me in every given moment that God has blessed us with!
Funny/ Sweet Quotes from the First Graders:
"Hey I think I know you....You're Mrs. Kiss, I know because I recognize your face under that hood, and your belly too because I know you are having a baby!" -Judah (a first grader in another class said this when I was wearing my hooded jacket on a cold, windy day after school)
Looking Forward to: Seeing how much she has grown in our 31 week growth scan on Thursday....annnnnnnnddddd Lil' Miss Kiss' Baby shower on SATURDAY! My sweet friends...Shannon, Ashley, Lesha, Maggie, and Amber have been working so hard to really make some special memories for me during this exciting time...and I can't wait to see what kind of excitement they have in store for me! It will be amazing to share in this special time with all of my nearest and dearest!

So, over 2 months ago in December I bought this sock monkey fleece to make a little blanket for our little nephew's arrival...We have been so busy I never got around to it...once he arrived this weekend...I got busy and started it on Friday and finished it on Sunday. As soon as I started working on it, I soon realized I soooooo should have made it back when I bought it...working on the floor at 31 weeks, I am not as flexible and easy to maneuver as I was 2 months ago! That belly sure does get in the way!
A 31 week belly can make fleece blanket making tough!
My sweet hubby helped me tie some
knots, so that we could get it finished
and delivered to our nephew!

Lil' Miss Kiss' Nursery Update

Little by little things have been making their way into our sweet little lady's room! Everything is officially in EXCEPT for our amazingly beautiful crib which I am DYING to get it! All of our bedding came in this last week and it was soooo much fun to pick it up and get those fun splashes of color up in her room! It really ties everything in together and makes me love the painting that we did even MORE...if that is even possible! I am in love with our bedding and am soooo happy with our choice! I love going in her room and just never wanna leave!
Her sweet little onsie that matches her room that we got at
her 3D ultrasound!
We are just playing with the placement of some of the fun
things we have gotten in...not sure if everything will
remain in the place that it's in in this picture!
Bedding Fun...Melrose by Glenna Jean...Love it!
Ohhhhh....her little HEDGEHOG mobile! I love it!
Daddy put up her matching valance! This window seat will
soon have the changing pad on it, as it will be used as our
changing table because we wanted the HUCTH so bad!
Daddy relaxing in the comfy rocker!
Mommy comfy in her chair with her sweet pillow!
Her whole 4 piece bedding set...all packaged up and ready
to go into her sweet little crib!
The crib FINALLY CAME IN just 3 days BEFORE the shower! How amazing it was to put it all together in all of its glory! It is breathtakingly beautiful! We are in love with it!
Mr. Kiss and his IPad directions!!
A Daddy and a Drill go hand in hand!
He was a tired man...but wanted to make sure and have her

Annnnd its all complete! Sweet little crib!

A Rose By Any Other NAME Would Smell as Sweet!

Last week I showed my first graders the 3D pictures of our sweet little baby girl! They were amazed and loved having the chance to see her! We took a good look at the pictures and voted on what we thought was the BEST name for Lil' Miss Kiss and made a graph. The two choices we have been going back and forth on since December were Kinsley and McKinli! They knew the voting was all for fun and just to help Mr. and Mrs. Kiss decide...but the winning name might not end up being her name for sure! I told them to think about if she was their baby sister, what would they like to call her, and which name looks like it fits her best! Of course I didn't let them know that we had already chosen a name that past weekend, and I didn't let them know our thoughts until after the voting took place. After the voting, I added one vote for Kinsley (Mrs. Kiss' vote) and one vote for McKinli (Mr. Kiss' vote). They took it all very seriously, and had so much fun with it! They love being so involved with the Baby Kiss and it makes it so much fun for me!

The Results of the First Grade Voting!
According to the first graders, the BEST name for Lil' Miss Kiss is KINSLEY Elizabeth Kiss, as opposed to McKinli Elizabeth Kiss!

Here are some of their reasons as to why they voted the way they did...

Baby Kiss should be named Kinsley because...
she looks like her name should be Kinsley. -Sumaia and Darian
she looks like a Kinsley and you have a K in your first name and she will have a K. -Jennifer
it starts with the letter K like Mrs. Kiss does and she can also have a last name like your last name. I think it will be a good name. -Caeden
it will be neat because you will both start with a K and have the same middle name and last name too! That will be neat! -Maddie

Baby Kiss should be named McKinli because...
she looks like a McKinli. -Dylan
it kinda goes with her middle name. -Jesse
it's a cute name, it sounds like a nice name and she looks like a McKinli. -Liv
she looks like a McKinli, and if it was McKinli it would match my neighbor's name! -Kasey

We had some big decision making of our own to do, Mr. Kiss and I. We had to decide on the name that would soon become tied to the daily identity of this sweet little lady! It was a BIG decision but we were ready to make it! After looking at her 3D pictures all weekend, the spelling, and writing of the name...it was clear she needed a sweet, girly name to match her sweet little face! We both loved both of the names...but the more and more we though about it...one just seemed more fitting than the other in more ways than one....and the verdict is...

McKinli and Kinsley have been our top 2 choices since we
foundout she was a baby girl in December!
Khloe was not fitting, Kensington was too long and too formal, Kamree...Jeff didn't love since it sounds like the name of a car, Toyota Camry....so that left us with our top 2 choices!
It was hard for him to cross it off...he sure loved McKinli sooo very much...as did I! For the record we still do LOVE it...maybe we will save it for Baby Kiss number 2 if there is second
Lil' Miss Kiss in our future! :)

We thought Kinsley fits her so incredibly well! We can picture ourselves calling her that each and every day! I can only imagine, I am sure she will be just as much fun as her name!
Here are some of the other reasons we made our decision!

1. It matches her sweet face perfectly
2. How pretty it looks when written
3. It begins with a K!
4. The structure of the name is similar to Kristen
5. It has a K, i, n, s, and e....just like Kristen!
6. The s and e are in the same place as in Kristen, with a tall letter (l or t) in between
7. There are 7 letters in it...just like Kristen and Jeffrey
8. How it sounds with Elizabeth
9. How cute will it be to have little cousins named Kinsley and Korbin Kiss
(her cousin Korbin was born March 1st and will be just 2 months older than her)
