Mamma's Got a NEW Set of Wheels

As the Summer heat began to dwindle...I began dreaming of cooler, Fall weather! How fun would it be to stroll along with my sweetie in the Fall air? I started to get super excited! Mind you we had been having 100+ temps for over a month so strolling was out of the question with my little warm-blooded woman! Plus...all of our strollers were too roomy for her tiny self and I was not about to take her out in the snap in carseat and make her sweat in the Summer sun!

Kinsley's Mamma was getting geared up for walks with her baby girl...and suddenly realized the umbrella like Combi stroller we had, while it had been amazing for trips to the store with the snap in carseat and we loved it...it would not be the best for daily walks around the neighborhood and parks. I had bought a high end jogging stroller at a garage sale before Kinsley was born...which will still be great in the future since it packs and travels well with an amazing turn radius...but for some reason I felt I needed a third stroller....YES a third stroller. Call me crazy (or call me spoiled) but in order to make our walks an interactive one with time spent together laughing and smiling...I needed to SEE my baby girl! I felt like that would help motivate me for daily walks more than ever because we could still be spending time together in a face to face interactive kind of way!! So...after a couple weeks of research and shopping used strollers on Craigslist which mind you has a goldmine of the brand I decided on...I came to a decision! The UPPAbaby Vista was the one for me...it can forward and rear face, as well as has a bassinet attachment for wee little ones who aren't quite ready for the toddler seat!
Now to just make the biggest decision...the CoLoR!
Would it be the Gorgeous Gray "Mica" color....
Or the Tantalizing Tangerine "Drew" color?
I went back and forth for days! The gray seemed "safe", neutral, snazzy, and oh so very classy! While the tangerine kept catching my eye and bringing be back to it. Almost like it was reeling me in...I kept feeling like it had me and Kinsley's name all over it! I could picture us rollin' around in that beautiful specimen of a stroller! It screamed adventure and fun...yes it was super loud and bright...but that is what I loved about it! It was unique! Jeff loved it, though he thought it MIGHT appear a little too "Halloweeny" lol! Sooooo....I took the plunge and listened to that little voice and I am BEYOND happy that I did! I am in absolute LoVe with our new little, snazzy ride! It is sheer perfection and rides like a dream! I waited patiently for it to arrive...as soon as it did...we were putting it together and out in the neighborhood for our first stroll!
The long awaited box had FINALLY arrived!!!

Kinsley and I were sooooo excited for our new delivery!
Kinsley watched Daddy carefully as he assembled our new wheels!
I promise he was just as excited for our arrival...though he may not show it!
"Are those my new wheels, they are almost as big as ME?"
Thank goodness for Daddies...they can put together anything!

Daddy snapped his baby girl right in to see how she fits!
 Mamma is EXCITED....
 Baby is HAPPY....
 ANNNNNDDDD Daddy is THRILLED!
And off we go in our Magical Bassinet attachment with our "Pretty Magical Baby"!
Here's a snapshot from our more recent stroller rides! She loves to lay on her tummy while playing with toys in the bassinet! She stays so relaxed and chilled out!

Just yesterday...Mamma figured it was time to transition to the bassinet because this little lady is interested in the world! We still might use the bassinet attachment for laid back morning walks but she is loving her reclinable toddler seat! What a big girl!

As Visions of K's Wedding Danced in My Head...

A couple of weeks ago we had the chance to attend our first wedding since the birth of Kinsley.
It was the wedding of our friends Martin and Haley!

We thought it would be fun to bring our little sweet pea to the event! After all, how could we leave her at home when we had so many friends who were going that hadn’t met her yet! Jeff's dad and stepmom would also be there, so we knew they would like to see her too! They enjoyed showing her off at their table!

So, we were on our way with our little sunshine…who might I add matched her Daddy quite well that day! Of course, I was in love with their SUNHINY yellow!

We had so much fun having her there…she slept the whole way there and once we arrived at the ceremony she was ready! Of course in the recent weeks she has developed what we like to call…Kinsley’s singing! This is where she plays with her vocal chords and she kind of sings! Haha…of course she decided to make this happen as soon as it got quiet and the music began. It cracked me up because I love when she does it…but of course we had to give her a pacifier to quiet her down and she wasn’t even crying! She was as happy as can be, and stayed that way the whole way through!! As soon as the ceremony was over and her Uncle Joshy spotted her, he reached out and snatched her from us! How could he resist his pretty, little niece?!?!?

We were then off to the reception! It was a blast hanging out with her at the table and having her dance and sing along with the music, though we were a little too close to the speakers for comfort but she survived! People were excited to see her beautiful face and could not believe how mellow, relaxed, and alert she was! Our friend Kale was so excited to finally meet her! He had a blast dancing to 'Party Rock' with her!
I loved holding her on my lap, and all the while I couldn’t stop thinking about the simple fact that one day we would be on the other end of all of this! ONE day…far from now, we will be the parents giving away our sweet, beautiful Kinsley to one extremely lucky man. My hope is that that lucky man is just like her Daddy! It was a thought that brought many emotions about though they were happy ones!

During the Daddy/Daughter dance, it began slow, and I of course was in tears thinking about Jeff dancing with Kins 20 something years from now on that dance floor…what an amazing thought! As the bride and her daddy were dancing to “Butterfly Kisses”, then soon did the switch to the crazy, fun mix of choreographed dances to random songs…I could totally see Jeff dancing with Kinsley in a fun way like that! Jeff savored every minute of taking Kinlsey out on that dance floor for her first dance with Daddy…since Daddy was taken, I got to dance with our friend Kale who whipped me around in the fastest 2 step dancin’ you’ve ever seen! I was whiling and twirling all over that dance floor! It was super fun…but what I loved more than anything was seeing that sweet Daddy dancing with Kinsley! So many people kept telling me how sweet it was to watch Jeff dance with Kins…and I totally agree!

She stayed awake for most of the evening except for a quick cat nap for about 20 min around 9pm or so! That little lady hung in there until the very end until her eyes could stay no longer stay open, she fell asleep right on the dance floor dancing with Daddy! Her poor little eyelids were the heaviest I have ever seen them and Daddy loved the way she just caved into him as she drifted off to sleep at the end of the night! What a dream, and what a neat experience with our new, little family only 3 months into her little life...one day we will see this tiny tot make the most sensational BRIDE escorted by he incredible Daddy who she already has wrapped around her finger...or should I say by the neck tie!
Crazy girl grabbed her Daddy's tie! HA! Look at that face! She means business!

My Shutterfly Creation

So the past week I have been working like crazy on Shutterfly to create and FINISH a photo book that captures the journey of my pregnancy with Kinsley! As many of you know...I am addicted to taking pictures...I am know as 'paparazzi' to some people! So, in an attempt to not just keep all of those glorious pictures on the computer never to be seen and enjoyed (besides on our oh so popular and widely known Apple TV slide show), I plan to create these photo books regularly to document each of the years to come with all of life's greatest adventures! Now the sad part is...not ALL of the pictures I take can possibly go in this book or they would each be 1,000 pages or more long, but I do feel like I did a super great job at putting this last year'x excitement into a synopsis to cherish for many years to come!

It seemed fitting to begin this tradition with the reason it all began...the pregnancy of Miss Kinsley! Given it is a LOT of work and can be incredibly tedious...the final product is a masterpiece and Shutterfly has some super cool tools to even make it look like a digital scrapbook and personalize it to your liking...word of CAUTION...don't get too into the details of adding special trims and features or you may never finish your book! I am proud to say my first one is now COMPLETE! Phew! Just click on the link below to check out the finished product, you may not be able to read all of the text, but you can get a nice little sneak peek of all the FUN!
